I am making this threat for people to assist me with building my computer and also to share it with other who needs help.

This is my build: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/mNLJRB ----- my CPU is the AMD 8320

Here are my problems:

1. The CPU stock cooler came with thermal paste pre-applied. I stick that cooler onto my CPU. Then I realize I had an EVO 212 aftermarket cooler that I bought. I pulled the stock cooler off the CPU, only to realize that it is so hard to put the evo 212 into my motherboard. So I gave up. My problem is I was too lazy and did not have alcohol to clean the paste off. I just applied the thermal paste that came with the EVO onto the existing thermal paste. Then my friend said bad idea, wash it off. So I wiped it off with just bathroom tissues. and reapplied thermal paste. There were some thermal paste that leaked onto the side, I could not completely get rid of it. I don't want to touch it anymore, what should I do?

2. I had problem pushing the ram into the motherboard. Seems like I had to put it in on one side first. Problem is solved

3. I do not know which cables go into where. There is a bunch of cables that came with the box,and I do not know what cables go in where. I do not want to read the manual because I have reading disabilities if I read too much lol.

4. My stupid mother board did not come with screws, so I ordered some from Newegg, so this would be a good time to prepare for wiring. Help please~!!!!

Guys guys my pc works now. But one other problem. The motherboard vga led is red and there is nothing showing up on the monitor.

I have an HDMI hook up to my pc, but monitor only sjpw no HDMI.

My pc don't have any slot to hook up a vga cable, so what do i do? My graphics card is too pro or what is the issue?

I realize i got no keyboard lmao but monitor shows this

Reboot and select proper boot devices
Or insert boot media in selectes boot device and press a key

What does that mean?

Also my case didn't come with front panel audio connectors and usb 2.0 i dont meed those right

OK - time out!

Exactly what still needs to be fixed? Please list each problem.

1. What monitor did you buy?
2. What operating system are you using, and did you install it?
3. Did you install the R9 280?
4. Have you downloaded updated drivers?

Sorry I am very furious and curious because I spent all my money on this PC. I would be very mad if this doesn't work lol.

1. I have the Dell 1909W monitor
2. I think the PC works now, but when I start it up. Monitor shows this message "Reboot and select proper boot devices
Or insert boot media in selectes boot device and press a key"
3. I have no keyboard so I cannot move on.

My current plans:
1. Put my aftermarket evo 212 in. I didn't put it in before because I couldn't unscrew the stock cooler. Soo hard. I will do this tomorrow.
2. Put wifi, but i think i have a wireless adapter already.
3. Buy keyboard
4. Download windows 8, it is okay to do it illegally right?
5. Get this baby up and running.

Any otger suggestions? Also yes I put in the graphics card. No i haven't downloaded any drivers yet because i haven't install os because no keyboard

My friend has a copy of windows 8, so I will use that. But is there something wrong with an illegal version of windows 8? I got the legal version of windows 7, but i want an upgrade. Don't worry my friend one is legal, he got the case

I am going to install the evo 212 because i won't be getting my keyboard until next week.

You CANNOT use your friends copy of W8. If you want to upgrade, you MUST BUY your own copy. Think about your question - "..is there something wrong with an illegal version of windows 8?".

Illegal means you are breaking the law]. The rules of this forum forbid providing help to persons using pirated software. I can no longer assist you.

My friend bought his windows 8, he paid money for it. I can't use it regardl because its 32 bit. I want a 64 bit

Ill buy it but where can i get it for cheap? And i wamt the best windows 8. Any recommendations? Or should i wait for windows 9

Just called my local office depot and they selling windows 8 virtual version for around 40 bucks, haha. Guys, i am going to go this afternoon, which should i get. Windows pro or ultimate? 64 bits right

I just saw this flyer. This guy charges 30 dollars for repair, finishing builds, and windows 8. All fpr 30 bucks. I called and he said he would give me a keyboard free of charge so i wouldn't need to buy that keyboard from newegg

My other option is to do everything myself and windows 8 is all i need. Amd the keyboard.

Should i hire one amd save 20 dkllars for the keyboard and windows 8, or should i pay 20 dollars more for the experience? What would you do?

Okay I don't mean to be rushy, but I find it awkard why no one is assisting me right when I said my plan was to download windows 8. I feel a little offended because I said it was a plan, and I have already said I wasn't going to do it. I just wanted to say that.

But before I mention my windows 8 plan, I really still do appreciate your help. all of your help. I guess no one will help me anymore here, but that's okay, thanks still
