Injured Libyan Fighters to Receive U.S. Medical Care

Is it really necessary? Its not enough to support the end of the dictatorship, are we going to rebuild their country too?

They just going to hate us no matter what. Why the administration is supporting everything and everybody else?

Put yourself in their shoes for a minute. Youve been fighting for the last 6 months and are injured and American team of doctors gives you medical care. Wouldn't that improve your view of America, and maybe your families for saving your life?

Besides those are borderline inflammatory remarks the article you provided said:

So these people are probably seriously wounded to the point where they all would have died of their injuries.

There is a medical help in there from GB, IT,USA and NATO itself, in there already.

I kinda agree with mingo on this one. If our medical expertise can help save lives or repair damaged limbs we should lend a hand.

The only thing that makes me slightly cringe is, will our military be fighting the same people we help 6 months from now??

I agree with all u wrote, but all that could be done on the ship hospital down there.

I agree with Oldmans concerns considering we've been in this position before.

But those are 30 people and their families that have a better view of Americans. This is how we make friends.

And when you really break it down even if we are fighting these people in 6 months at least we were the grown ups in this situation.

And personally I would have been appalled if we did nothing to help.

Right, but the help is there already.

I can understand, that it is some PR, but look at Iraq and Afghanistan, no one like's the west world more than before that.

They will appreciate that, sure, for while they will. But the help is there!

Not sure why you are so quick for nato to go oust a leader that has killed thousands of his own people by bombing and killing thousands of people in the process.
