Question about "Thia message running through my oc screen."

Overclocked? Please provide more detail.

= = = =

Update your post to include full system hardware specs and OS information.

Make and model display? How connected?

Some monitors have their own drivers - check the display manufacturer's website.

Manually download, install, and configure.

This screen?

https://www.amazon.com/Lenovo-ThinkVision-Widescreen-Backlight-2572MB6/dp/B005ZGX2C2

Appears to be a very old product. Where purchased?

Reference:

https://pcsupport.lenovo.com/us/en/...wide-22in-led-monitor/2572/downloads/ds001735

And you do mean the entire product which is a monitor but could also be described as a display. Screen could be used - however, the screen is a part or component of the entire monitor/display.

Replacing a monitor is one thing. Replacing just the screen is repair.

What was the problem, if any, that caused you to replace the monitor?

How is the monitor connected to its' host computer? VGA, DVI-D, DP? Be sure that you are using the correct cable, connection ports, and configuration settings.

I found this link for the drivers:

https://support.lenovo.com/us/en/downloads/ds001735-lenovo-l2250p-22-in-wide-monitor-files

Very old.

You may not be able to configure the computer setup for the desired/required resolution.

I found the monitor's User Guide:

https://download.lenovo.com/pccbbs/visuals/lt2252p_ug_eng.pdf

Verify that I found the applicable User Guide.

According to Page 2-7 the monitor supports 1680x1050.

It does not support 1920 x 1080.

Provided that I understand the overall situation it appears that you will need to change the iGPU or GPU configuration to use 1680 x 1050.

You would make that change by using the GPU Control panel.

That being the highest resolution that the monitor supports.

Do you know who manufactured the GPU?

In any case, right click an empty area of the desktop.

A small menu should appear with "Show more options" at the bottom. Left click that choice.

Another small menu should appear that includes the manufacturer's name followed by the words "Control Panel.

For example on my computer the menu item is listed as "NVIDIA Control Panel".

Left click that choice and the applicable Control Panel should open.

There will be more options and on my system under "Display" I can select 1920 x 1080 via a resolution menu. Or select other supported resolutions if and as required.

However, if your systems does not support 1920 x 1080 then that resolution should not appear as an option. Or be greyed out accordingly if it does.

Hopefully your Control Panel will list 1680 x 1050 as a selectable resolution.

If the Control Panel is not clear then take some screenshots and post the screenshots here via imgur (www.imgur.com).

If the screen is ok now then leave things alone.

You can look in Device Manager to discover what driver is being used.

Device Manager > Display adapters

Right click the installed display adapter then select Properties.

Then select the Driver tab.

Again, do not change anything - just look and perhaps take a screenshot to print out as a reference.

Note: If the installed display adapter is not listed you may need to go back to the View tab and ensure that "Show hidden devices" is checked.

if monitor doesnt send DDC/EDID to GPU driver, then installing monitor driver should fix it

https://support.lenovo.com/us/en/downloads/ds001735-lenovo-l2250p-22-in-wide-monitor-files

even if it shows its for up to windows 7, i just tested it on win11 and it installed just fine, inf file is up to date and certificate is still valid (for win10/11)

you do need to download all three files cat, icm and inf
then either add driver through device manager or right click inf file and choose install

once installed, go to device manager, locate your monitor and either confirm that it shows "Lenovo L2250pwD(Analog/Digital)" label, if not, then right click that generic monitor and update driver
that is "browse computer for drivers" option
View: https://imgur.com/FLFc3af

and then "let me pick from a list" option
View: https://imgur.com/VYQdaZL

if lenovo driver wont show up now, uncheck "show compatible hardware"
View: https://imgur.com/5rSUXp5

list of selectable monitor drivers will show up, on left side find lenovo, on right side pick either analog or digital (doesnt really matter, its just label)
View: https://imgur.com/y7Eijnz

then finish installing it and thats about it, 1920x1080 wont be available now
1680x1050 @ 75Hz should be available now
