[SOLVED] Inputs to upgrade graphics card

I have a desktop with following configuration
Specification Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-2600 CPU @ 3.40GHz
Package (platform ID) Socket 1155 LGA (0x1)
Number of sockets 1
Number of threads 8
Bus Specification PCI-Express 2.0 (5.0 GT/s)
Graphic Interface PCI-Express 2.0
PCI-E Link Width x16 (max 16x)
Memory Type DDR3
Memory Size 20 GBytes
Name NVIDIA GeForce 210

I want to upgrade to good GPU. Request for suggestions . This is mostly for gamming and high end programming for my son

On that CPU something like the 960+/570+ level card should serve well.
Likely look for older cards available and see what PSU and space requirements are and go from there.

As long as your motherboard has an UEFI BIOS (typically fancy GUI setup), you should be able to use just about any GPU that your PSU can cope with.
