Insane stutter in Youtube fullscreen

So I've got a weird problem that's popped up the last few days. Basically on Firefox whenever I go to full screen the video for the first few seconds it's all good, but then for no reason it goes to maybe 1fps if not 1 frame every other second. Now going back out of full screen fixes it, goes back up to 1080p60fps not a hitch.

So out of curiosity has anyone else experienced this problem?

Current specs are
1090t @4ghz
16gb ddr3
r9 390
Win10
Latest Firefox

Now I can bypass this by using chrome (but really chrome...) though not my favorite choice to keep going back to just for full screen Youtube.

with firefox and the new browsers make sure adobe flashplayer is up to date. there at rev 25.x now. also a lot of the new firefox wont let flashplayer run now. if it a older flash based movie try using one of the newer flash to html 5 plug ins.

Went ahead and grabbed a flash to html5 plugin, while it seems to work my goodness does it ruin the rest of the browsing experience... Do you have a preferred plugin and maybe mine is garbage?

if your using firefox 52.x look at there ers release that still lets you run flash player.

i use html5-flash plug in where you can switch from one or the other as needed.
html5 everywhere plug in.
