Hey, I recently went to a yard sale and bought an Dell Inspiron 660s for $15 and cleaned it up and installed 16GB of DDR3 1600 Mhz RAM. The computer runs okay-ish but I would definitely like to get a gpu for it under $75, a new psu for $50 max, and I have been eyeing NZXT's H500i @ $100 for a new case. Was thinking about buying an Asus Z77 Sabertooth and buying 2600k from Ebay as well if money permits but otherwise will not go over my $350-400 budget for them.

Here are my current specs:

CPU: i5-3330s w/ Intel HD Graphics 2500 (4 cores and 4 threads)
Motherboard: I dont know it but it is the default for when you buy from dell
PSU: Default PSU
Heatsink: Default Heatsink
Monitor: Westinghouse 1080p @ 60Hz

Solution
If you are looking for a gaming upgrade, then I would say that a new PSU wouldn't really be needed since you could easily find GPU's under 75$ that only require power from the PCIE slot. So if you want a quick and easy (and cheap) upgrade, just get something like at gt-1030 2GB GDDR5 (make sure its GDDR5!) https://pcpartpicker.com/list/GQ7bzM

If you want to buy a new motherboard and 2600k, then you're essentially building a whole new computer. If not, then you can move all the components in your current computer to the new case (the power supply won't attach properly since the form factor isn't ATX but can still fit inside)

Solution

Ok, thanks for your suggestion. I believe that I will simply choose to make a cheap Intel Xeon X5660 Build (PCPartPicker Linkn below for specs) and will transfer my storage to that PC and used the 660s as an offline storage center for my photos and other items. Thanks so much for your help!
