When I received my 8500 last year, there was a visual bar that'd appear when
I brightened or dimmed the monitor's backlight. The bar indicated maximum
lighting or dimness. It would come up when I held the "Fn" key and either
the up or down arrow keys. In recent months, that bar has disappeared, but
I'm not sure how or why it did. I would like to get it back, as it was a
good guide to see how much brighter (or dimmer) I could make the monitor.
I've looked in Control Panel but cannot find any obvious control for it
there.
Likewise, I used to get a visual bar when I increased or decreased the
volume. That energy bar has also disappeared. Any guidance for controlling
that would be appreciated too.
Thank you,
John Noory
