Hi, I am willing to upgrade the RAM for my Inspiron N5110 but I am not sure if it is worth it.

Specifications:

Dell
Model: Inspiron N5110
Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-2430M CPU @ 2.40GHz, 2401 Mhz, 2 Core(s), 4 Logical Processor(s)
Installed Physical Memory (RAM): 4.00 GB
Dedicated Graphics Card: Nvidia GeForce GT 525M ( 1GB DDR3 )
Ram Slots: 2 (Free = 1)

I play alot of games and I would like to get most out of the laptop.

Once again, my questions are :
1) Is it Worth Upgrading the total RAM?
2) For this Laptop Model will it support more than 8 GB? Can it support 12GB or 16GB?
3) If I upgrade, should I get: 1 x 8 GB stick or 1 x 4 GB stick?

Thank you

Solution
The best option here would be to get another 4Gb module to get dual-channel with the other. Make sure it has the same speed. That i5 2430M can support up to 1333mhz. Check the specs of your current RAM with CPU-Z, this way you will find out the speed and latencies.
