Yes,I said XP.Here's my dilemma.I want to install my Windows 7 64 bit OS which is an upgrade disc. But first,I'm assuming I have to install Windows XP 64 bit OS.I don't really want to plunk down $100 for a new disc.I got the copy of Win XP in school in 2005.I know,a long time ago.I realize XP is no longer supported, but I think I need it to "upgrade" to Win 7. I cannot stand Windows 8.1.Very buggy to me anyway. My issue is this,ACPI.When I go to textmode, all I get to choose from is Uniproccessorx64,or Multiprocessorx64,or OTHER.Neither one works.I can't pop in my MB driver disc because my DVD is in use for the installation.I want to do a clean install, but no matter what I do,I can't get past the ACPI issue.I don't know how to switch to standard PC.Can anyone help?Thank you.
