install webcam to Panasonic VIERA TC-L58E60

Looking for a webcam for the forthcoming first grandchild and I don't know how to start.

How do I confirm a webcam will work with this TV (Panasonic VIERA TC-L58E60)? There hasn't been much forthcoming information from manufacturers or Panasonic. My inclination is to pick a webcam, but is compatibility the first issue? Do I simply install it to HDMI or USB? What about drivers?

I'm usually pretty comfortable installing onto my desktop, but this has been interesting.

I was hoping the choice might be wider than Panasonic products, but they're not responding when I've inquired. Is it a proprietary interface, or are there other options?

I have no idea I just checked amazon reviews, and apparently there are like 3 cameras that work and all ~$100 so I'd rather go with an OEM product that is guaranteed to work than waste time guessing around and having to deal with the hassle of returns and refunds.
