ive got a hp laptop and i accidently load a new operating system all the program that was installed were lost ... is it possible to reinstalle the exact programs????

Just use the restore partition or recovery disks that came with the laptop (instructions would be in the manual or online on HP support site). Will bring back the system like it was from the factory.

If you want to bring it back just like it was before you installed Windows again, you can do it if you saved the old setup directory. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/971760
