Installed a Hard Drive and it is laying in a metal hub

Hey guys, just installed an internal HD and was wondering if there could be any potential damage done if it is laying in a metal hub (which is supposed to be an optical drive socket). It makes quite a bit of reverberating noise but I have an alright sound system that overpowers it, just worried about any potential damage being in contact with metal.

I suggest you get an adapter for that drive bay like this one: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817997036 though you can probably find one cheaper that doesn't make it "hot swappable" like this one: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811993004

No damage being in contact with metal, as long as you can find the way to secure the hard drive to the PC chassis. Keep in mine the vibrations can damage to the platters of a standard hard disk.
