Installed Kraken X41. Getting black screen after seemingly successful boots

Have just installed the water cooler on my R9 290: fans and pump appear to be working fine...

About 25 seconds after powering on the system I get a black screen. Doesn't matter if I'm in the bios or booting...

I've reset the bios and double checked the wiring. Both fans plugged into the pump and the 3 pin is going to my CPU_opt on my ASUS Z87. No problem there?

PC was rock solid before so confused why it boots then black screens every time :/

Also Mobo reports no error just A0 the whole time after its initialised... Any ideas?

I can't as it black screens, besides a bios screen with pump and fans on shouldn't be making it overheat in 25 seconds.

Any ideas?

Sure enough, it was a thermal issue, the cooler didn't seat properly as a heatsink on the ram caused it to lift at one corner. Problem solved 🙂
