Installed new drivers for my graphics card when it told me to now game keeps freezing

I installed the new drivers for my graphics card since it said it needed updating, but now whenever im in a game it freezes all the time and makes the game really laggy.
Wondering if anyone can help me out.

4.00GB Dual-Channel DDR3
2048MB ATI AMD Radeon R7 200 Series

Is this enough?
Also the drivers were Radeon Software Crimson Edition 16.1 i think, another thing is the Radeon settings it installed crashes everytime i start up just randomly and then wont load back up until i restart.

From the little I understand about the new Crimson Catalyst drivers for AMD cards, I have read a lot of bugs with them running certain games(i.e. lagging, freezing up etc.) so I would install an older catalyst driver suite from AMD`s site. Actually, go to whatever your video card`s brand is(i.e.XFX, Sapphire etc) and get the latest non-Crimson drivers and see if that helps. I did and glad I`m not using the Crimson drivers until I read great positive feedback.

I'm on the AMD site and i cant find any non crimson drivers?
