Installed new gpu and psu, no signal to monitor and no power to usb devices.

My pc would boot with the old gpu and new psu, but not with the new gpu and new psu or new gpu and old psu.

When I turn the power on, all of the fans and lights spin/turn on in my pc, but there is not signal to the monitor throught the gpu or the integrated graphics, this is through hdmi.

cpu: i7 2600
mobo: ECS ELITEGROUP H61H2-M2 V1.0
ram: 2x 4gb g-skill ripjaws 1333mhz ddr3
gpu: (new) sapphir platinum rx 470, (old) msi gtx 950
psu: (new) evga 450b, (old) corsair vs350
windows 7 64bit home premium

So far I have tried:
1. uninstalling old gpu drivers
2. buying a new psu
3. disabling intel hd graphics
4.updating the bios (not sure about this)

Reset CMOS battery. Double-check that all the connections are made securely, and the mode on the monitor set to HDMI, just in case.

Did you connect the 6-pin connector with the new PSU?

I'm afraid that your BIOS environment might not be compatible with the newer BIOS of your graphics card. If your graphics card works in someone else's (newer) rig, you will know for sure.

You can try updating your BIOS (use onbooard graphics for display) and see if it helps.

Thanks for the help I shall have to return it. Do you think that a 970/980 will work if a 950 worked?
