Hello.

I need some help. When I boot my computer my cached memory sits at 7GB but slowly moves up to 15GB within a few minutes.

I recently Installed some new memory yesterday. https://www.newegg.com/mushkin-enhanced-8gb-240-pin-ddr3-sdram/p/N82E16820226683

Why is over half my memory cached and is this bad?
What would be optimal settings?
What steps do I follow to lower the cached value?

Cached-Memory

RAM: 4 sticks of x001fdxqsf 992031
Motherboard: ASUS p8zz77-v LX
CPU:Intel I737705
Windows 10

Thank you very much! Have a great day.

No it is not bad. It is normal. The more free ram you have, more will be used for file system caching.
It's bad, when your ram sits free and unused.
No need to change anything.
