Question Installing a Coolmaster Hyper 212, proper way?

I'm just looking for a bit of advice on how to properly install my new CPU cooler. Currently I am using the follow parts below. The case itself allows for the MOBO and other components to be mounted/installed horizontally, additionally my case also is a clam shell design so the top simply opens right up for free access. With that in mind i shouldn't need to remove my MOBO from my case should i?

In regards to the CPU cooler, do i need do anything prior to removal, such as let the PC run for a period of time to potentially warm up the thermal paste, or is that not needed? The CPU/Cooler/Paste were applied just a little over 2 1/2 months ago so it hasn't been on there too long.

Its easier to install components when you have motherboard on your hands, when finished installing heatsink and other components, you just lay down case and screw the screws.(Dont forget I/O Shield)

No, not at all.
The thermal paste hardens as rock after 5 years. They are designed to dry and "Glue" heatsink and CPU together.
If you ever read somewhere using hairdryer to heat up the heatsink to remove it from CPU. It was usually with FX series long time ago , You could've pulled out CPU with heatsink
