I built a computer 4 years ago based on the Asus H87M-Plus motherboard. I did not include a graphics card, opting for the JD Haswell graphics supported by the P7 CPU.

I have recently had to resort to using ZoomText to compensate for my vision loss. I have determined that a bit more graphics processing power would be a good thing.

So I have a GT1030 low profile, silent GPU card waiting to be installed in my No Fan silent pc.

I have looked at the manual that came with the Asus MoBo, and I see no jumpers to enable/disable the on-board graphics. The only thing I see is a setting in the BIOS that enabless/disables autodetect of VGA.

So do I just install the graphics card and reboot?

Thanks in advance for the guiding light...

Solution
Yes, just install the graphics card and connect your video cable to the GPU, it should automatically connect. If not, go into BIOS using the integrated graphics and find the option to to use the graphics card instead of the integrated graphics.
