Installing a second HDD and a new SSD

Hi, right now I have a 500gb hard drive in my pc and I'm running out of space, I bought a 1tb hardrive and a 128gb ssd, I think that I will just need to plug power into them and sata and then just reinstall windows and format. Is this what I am supposed to do or am I supposed to do something different? Sorry I'm a noob when it comes to this.

If you only intend to just add those drives to the system, all you have to do is plug them in, initialize and format in software and then they should be usable in the OS.

If you want to install Windows to the SSD, straight up re-installing Windows to it isthe best option though it probably has its own migration software if you dont want the hassle of re-configuring a fresh OS.

What do you REALLY want to do? Do you want to install your OS on the 128 GB SSD and use the 500 GB & 1 TB HDDs as secondary drives in your system? Is that what you want to achieve?
