Hello,
Recently I have thought of upgrading my computer by installing a SSD but there is a problem. I'm not sure how to install windows onto the SSD. Do I have to use window's install media to do this? Alsoi, what will happen if I do install windows onto a SSD
when I already have windows on my hard drive? Will my data from my hard drive be safe?

Thanks

Existing system, new SSD.
You have two options.

There will be questions.

1. Clean install on the SSD. Resintall of the OS and all applications.
What OS is this? Where did it come from?

2. Cloning from the old drive to the new drive.
This migrates the entirety (mostly) from the old drive to the new SSD. This requires some size considerations. The actual consumed space needs to be significantly smaller than the size of the new SSD.

How much data are you looking at on the C drive, and what size SSD are you considering?

3. SSD size and types. SATA III , m.2, PCIe, etc, etc, etc.
This depends a lot on what the rest of the system is, primarily the motherboard.
What CPU/motherboard is this?
