Question Installing clean drivers question

So I was reading the clean installation guide by Darkbreeze about using DDU.

I replaced my GTX 780 with a 1660 ti and wanted to have clean drivers, is it okay to run DDU in safe mode to wipe the nvidia drivers then reinstall new drivers once the process is completed? I wanted to make sure this is safe to use considering I've switched cards.

I've NEVER USED it when installing a card from the same platform. Like Both are Nvidia Cards.

Would you say uninstalling the driver from computer management/device manager from safe mode would be adequate enough for a clean installation of new drivers?
