Hello Community,

I have a Z87 Sabertooth motherboard with 4770k processor.

My current ram is Corsair Vengeance 16GB (2x 8GB) 1600 Ghz

If I want to increase my Ram Cap, Would I have to buy the same type or I can buy more advanced one?

Current Ram: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B008E3M4QS

If possible these rams: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B006EWUO22/

Thanks in Advance

Solution
The best would be the same RAM, but it's fine to mix these RAMs together. Both RAMs have same speeds, same timing, same voltage, and same density per RAM sticks. I don't see a problem here.

They might play, but chances are good they won't without voltage and timings adjustments (poss both the base and the advanced timings), XMP only works via a packaged set so will have to do manually, a two stick set will normally take a tRFC of about 208 in the advancd timings while 4 sticks will require 255 or so
