Installing Ethernet Cable

Solution
You could use something like a surface mount connector designed for rj45 or ethernet. It looks similar to an old style jack for a phone and is mounted just above the base board. If you have several cables coming out in one location where the router is you might use something like a patch panel. The wires connect in the back and it has the plugs on the front. There is also the possibility to use a face plate style plate but you would still have to do some kind of wiring. Typically you have to have a kind of box mount in the wall to screw the face plate to. The face plate has a square opening and they make the RJ45 connector that is designed to snap into the opening after you wire it.
