I recently purchased (Last Week) an EVGA GTX750. I've replaced the stock PSU with the Evga 500b and all appears to be well. The device will power on and boot to the OS as it should.
The problem is that when I install the GPU, the computer will boot to the HP splash screen and say "Press ESC for boot options" but then it hangs..... I can't click anything with the keyboard. If I keep pressing ESC the PC will eventually start beeping at me with a high pitch when I press a key.
That aside, the device (when left alone at this screen) will beep once every 20 seconds or so. It will happen about 3-4 times. Finally, after that it will beep 3 times in fast succession and then the video will cut out. The PC doesn't shut off, I just lose the video feed.
What I've tried:
Checked the connections on both the PSU, GPU and the MoBo.
I've updated the BIOS.
I've made sure that the GPU has both the 8 pin and 6 pin connections seated and the fans all turn on.
Tried to disable the Intel HD Graphics and then installing the card.
Tried different cords to the GPU.
No matter what I do, when I connect the GPU and try and boot, I set the same results as I listed above. The odd beeps (nothing like a post error and it even displays) and then the PC seems to lock up and the display goes out.
Should I go to the BIOS, how and when?
