So I'd like to install a Linux distro on a 2nd ssd along with windows 10 on the first one and being able to dual boot between them,if that's possible

Can I do that..?

I don't want to put them both on the same drive

Sure.
The best way is to disconnect the Windows drive when you install Linux on the second.
At boot time, interrupt the boot process and select which drive and its OS.
