I am picking up my new (my first) laptop Legion Y530 tonight. You may check out the model and specs below. The laptop does not come with m.2 ssd so I plan to install a 500GB m.2 ssd. I have been reading posts on google for the last few days but I still have some confusions. Here are my questions:

1. I am looking at the Adata SX8200 pro and Adata Gammix S11 pro model as they are affordable to me. But I couldnt find any difference between them in specifications. Is there any difference between them other than appearance? If yes, which one is better?

2. ESD seems like a concern when installing components in PC, which I did not know as it is not a common practice in my country (Malaysia). In fact, I have never seen any technician take any precaution to avoid ESD so I would like to install the ssd on my own. If I do not have the ESD belt and PSU available, any other methods I can use to discharge static?

3. My most important question. I have seen a lot of posts and videos suggest different method for installing new ssd. As this is gonna be a new computer, should I do cloning, migration, or fresh installation? If fresh installation, do I need to remove the HDD first or not necessary? Some videos also go to BIOs to configure boot options while some other videos did not, do I need to configure my BIOs setting? If possible, I wouls like to do fresh installation and not removing HDD in the process.

Model: Lenovo Legion Y530
Processor: Intel Core i5-8300H
Ram: 8GB DDR4
Storage: 1TB HDD
GPU: GTX1050 Ti

Thank you in advance.

I have picked up my computer and installed Adata Gammix 11S Pro into it. I went into BIOs and did not find the m.2 in boot device. So I proceed to use usb to install the windows into m.2. It seems like no issue and also successfully went into the windows using m.2. However, when I restart and go BIOs again, m.2 still doesnt shows in boot device. Can anyone helps? Also is it safe to format my hdd at this point?
