Question Installing new motherboard/CPU/RAM, can I boot Windows 10 from my old SSD?

When I was cleaning my rigs cooling radiator, I made a dipshit move and ended up actually frying my motherboard. Since the model is a few years older and they’re not making these models anymore, I’ve decided to upgrade my rig. I’ve got a new i3 8350K, an ASUS Prime B360 Plus, and 16gb of Corsair DDR4 2400mhz ram.

My old motherboard that died was an MSI Z97 PC mate.

It happened suddenly and I wasn’t really expecting it so I wasn’t able to make a backup of anything.

Essentially it’s going to be the same build with a new motherboard, CPU and RAM.

My question is will I be able to boot windows 10 from my SSD with the new motherboard with all my game files/documents etc without any issues? My SSD is a Samsung 850 Evo 250gb

Or do I have to a fresh install of a Windows?
And if I do a new install of windows, will my data still be there?

Also the version of Windows 10 I have is retail purchased. I bought a physical copy of windows 8.1 and upgraded to 10.

Any feedback is appreciated y’all 🙏🏻
