Okay so I've had this laptop for at least 3 years now, and it has only 2GB of RAM. I was thinking of buying two of these and upgrading to 8GB.

I know where the RAM slots are and how to get to them etc. (It's actually very easy). I was just wondering if you guys recommended this or didn't. Thanks.

I would get this instead...

Thanks for your reply, sorry mine is 3 months late haha but would this be ok? http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231482 I'm looking more to 8GB

Yes, I recommend the GSkill memory than the earlier one(eBay memory). The memory looks compatible but I'm not sure if the speed is compatible. It may or may not work. Maybe you might need a BIOS upgrade. Dell recommends only 1066MHz and 1333MHz memory so check if there is any BIOS update available before you install this one.

If you need lower speed memory then try these sites:

No MAXCSW, you can't get 1600MHz RAM with your current system (there may be a bios upgrade that will allow you do do so, but I have no idea)
If you want 8Gb, this is probably your best bet...
G.SKILL 8GB (2 x 4GB) 204-Pin DDR3 SO-DIMM DDR3 1333 (PC3 10600)

eBay memory is fine as long as you know what you are getting and buy from someone you trust.
And I wouldn't get RAM just because either one of those sites recommend it.
