Installing new SSD drive

Hi. I bought a SSD drive recently and I want to install it. I plugged it up and booted up Windows, but I can't find the new drive to partition in the disk manager. Do I have to access the BIOS first and configure it and if so, how?

This is a desktop. I'm using a micro ATX Motherboard (ASROCK), WD BLUE SATA SSD(250GB 3D NAND), my main hard drive where I installed Windows is a WD BLUE SATA, 1 TB with 64mbs cache


Am I supposed to go through the BIOS when I install the new drive?
