Installing OS without disk. How should I do it?

My pc build doesn't have a rom space and i have a few spare flash drives (plus a laptop) around. How do I boot and install from a flash drive?

Download an ISO file of the exact version of windows that you currently have the key for. Make sure you know the key. Burn it to a disk or USB drive. Then install it via that disk/ stick, make sure to prioritise CD or USB in boot sequence, and enter the key when asked.

Assuming it is Windows we are talking about, download the USB-DVD-tool from Microsoft.

it's windows 8, yes. Thanks. Do I just boot it from the drive then drag the OS files to the SSD or something?

Nope, it'll initiate the install process as a normal OS install, no drag or drops, just follow the on-screen instructions
