Hello, I recently received my gtx 1080 ti from EVGA. It requires a 6 pin and a 8 pin cables. However the only 6 pin cable i have is a 4x2 cpu cable or i can use a 6x2 cable and leave the x2 out. What should i do?
What is the make and model of your PSU. There should be no 4 x 2 cable for the PCIe. That sounds like the CPU power which is wired in reverse polarity to the PCIe cable.

Do you mean a 6+2 cable? That's both a 6 and 8 pin, so yes use it and leave the 2 unplugged. What ever you do, don't try and use a 2x4 CPU power cable, they are wired differently.
