Installing RAM while exerting a strong force

There are two phases:
1. Phase #1 - exerting minor force (looks reasonable)
2. Phase #2 - exerting strong force - Looks bad! The motherboard is bent way too much IMO.

I think that instead of Phase #2, you need to use the memory slot's "holders" (not sure if that's their name) to tighten the memory card to the slot.

What do you think?

I never built a PC and needs to know the proper method which won't ruins the components.

The best way to install RAM in a new system is to install the DIMMs before putting the motherboard inside the system. This way, the motherboard is supported by the table and there is no flexing whatsoever.

Tabs on most DIMM slots are only for ejection so you don't rip the slots off the motherboard by pulling on them and indicating whether the DIMMs are fully inserted.

He installed the ram correctly in the video, unless you go full hulk you will be surprised to learn its difficult to break things during installation. Just try not to touch the metal contacts with your bare hands as the oil from your hands are bad.
