Question Installing remote to Raspberry pi 4 ?

I have two Apple remotes and, i have Volumio installed on the pi 4.
So, how to i program the remote to the Pi 4 to control the Volumio player ?

What medium do these remotes use?

If these remotes are Infrared, there are many IR receivers which emulate keyboards (and I suppose your Volumio understands keyboard volume control).

I used one of these with MCE remote to control KODI. I'd recommend getting one of these, and building a discovery app to see what codes your remote is sending.

I got my Media player Kodi/ Retropie settled. I bought a RemotePi board https://www.msldigital.com/pages/more-information got the on/off power programed into the power button on the Air mouse remote https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B071RTDYV2/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
So with the usb connected to the pi4 i can controle Kodi and power on/off the Pi. So that i got straight.

But on my other pi4 that i have a music player on it <Volumio> I'm trying to get a IR remote to work on the player.
