Installing SSD, Have I been screwed?

I'm trying to put my PC together. First time building.

So now i'm trying to install my Crucial m500 SSD in my Cooler Master N300 case.

If you follow the links, you see the image of the M500 has 4 screwholes. In the N300 case the SSD is supposed to be screwed down on the bottom of the case. As shown in this image.

The case comes with what the manual calls M3*5 screws. The manual says these are supposed to be used to screw in the SSD in the bottom "floor".

The screwholes in the bottom of the case allign perfectly with the holes in the SSD.

The problem is the screws seem to big. I can screw them in slightly, but then I can't screw them in any more than that. I haven't tried using full force to screw them in since i'm afraid that will break the SSD.

Here is a picture of the screw as seen in the manual.

Solution
Well if you don't have any screws that will work, then do they screw in far enough to hold it in place? If not finding some screws should be pretty easy. You could always go the cheap route and use tape or something to hold it in place. It may not look the best, but functionality over aesthetics right?

The screws barely go in at all. Since the SSD is lying on the "floor", maybe it doesn't need to be fastened that securely. I think the screws would maybe be touching the floor under the case, since they don't go in far at all.

Another question:

With the case came several "motherboard standoff" screws. I screwed those in the case at their correct markings. But there were also two other screws that look almost exactly like standoff screws but look a different at the top of the screw. Any idea what those are for?

In the case manual there is mention of Qty *2 of some screws that look similar to standoff screws. They are apparently for the same usage. Although the screws I have look different from those in the manual.

Most cases come with extra scews for different applications for convience, I still have a whole bag of screws from my AzzA Solano case, and any tape should do, but do those 2 screws work??? And I'd just check back from time to time to make sure the tape is still on the SSD, if it heats up much the tape could look its adhesiveness. But if aren't planning on moving your case much then it may be a non-issue. I personally have my SSD suspended above my HDD by the power cable as the power cable is pulled snugly as it is also connected to the disk drive above(the cord has 3 SATA Power connectors). That is my setup and it works well.

Looks like i was using the wrong screws.. Another type of the cases included screw fits. So the manual description was wrong. Same for the motherboard.

I tried first using the wrong screw. Screwing into the case of the SSD. That peeled off some of the paint from the SSD case screw hole. Could it be bad to use screws to attach the SSD because of this? Like could that short out the SSD?
