I plan on building a desktop PC, and I want to use this HDD. How would I go about installing Windows 10 on this HDD? Is it possible for the HDD to utilize the entire hard disk space?

Solution
Same as installing to any other hard drive....

When/if confronted with a formatting/partitioning method, you want "GPT", needed to utilize partitions greater than 2 TB.

For backup/imaging purposes, you might want a smaller Windows partition of 'only' 1 TB, so you could more easily image the system/"C" drive onto external USB drives...

Using a 5TB drive for the OS is, IMHO, a bad idea.

Sure, you can do it.
But if you're buying and building a new system, there is zero reason to not get a smaller SSD for the OS and applications, and that 4-5TB drive for all the other stuff.

A 5TB for the OS drive brings implications for backups and recovery.
You really want to separate your OS and applications from your personal data.
