Hi all.

I just got a new 250 gb ssd. All I want to do is install windows 10 and a few games on it. I've read this question here http://www.tomshardware.com/answers/id-1970730/installi... but I couldn't get any info from it. I figured out everything up to the part where they talk about running the install program on the hdd and just setting it to install on the ssd. Which program are they talking about? I tried the windows 10 from the Microsoft site and it didn't give me an ssd install option.

Please help!

Dave

Do you have windows 10 installed already? If so just find a Thumb drive that is 8GB in size or more. Download the Windows 10 Media Tool to download the setup to the Thumb drive. Remove ALL drives BUT the SSD, Boot off USB and install windows 10. It should activate if you have windows 10 already.

if you don't you can do the same thing. Download the tool for the USB drive, update windows off the USB drive (Just open the USB drive and run Setup.exe) Once done you will be updated and it will be automaticlly activated for the PC.

Then again remove all other drives, install SSD, reinstall windows, it should activate. You can then reconect your other drive and use it as a storage drive.
