So I am building my first gaming rig and in my cart I have Windows 10. I believe it comes in disk form but to be honest I am not really sure. Regardless, I am not buying an optical drive because I am trying to save money and really I don't use disks that often anymore. However I do have just a basic entry level LG external disk drive that I picked up earlier this year. It is probably one of the cheapest ones they had. Nothing fancy about it. Is this going to be advanced enough to read the Windows 10 disk? I no nothing about disk drives so any input would be nice. Thank you.

You can get Win 10 on USB now so no need for the external drive. either way it would be connecting by USB :)

If the cart version is a DVD, you can download the installer itself from Here and make your own installer.

The most valuable part of the purchase is the licence key, you can make own installer :)
