I'm upgrading my SATA III 128 GB boot drive to a better NVMe PCIe 1TB SSD drive on my ASUS ROG Strix GL702VM gaming laptop. I've decided to install a clean copy of Windows 10 using USB installation drive which I've prepared using MS website. I've never installed/reinstalled OS in my whole life so all my knowledge on this subject is purely theoretical. What bothers me the most is making sure I have all the drivers installed at the end of installation process. I know Windows 10 does pretty good job of finding and installing drivers for all sorts of laptop configurations and builds and all I will have to do is add some OEM drivers from ASUS website. Still I'm afraid of being stuck with half functional (or even non-functional) computer. Having said that, can anybody with the real experience of installation process give me a prediction of what I will have working on my laptop immediately after installation process. I suppose my new boot drive will work (otherwise Windows wouldn't even load), I guess keyboard and/or touchpad will work too. What about Wi-Fi card? It has to work, otherwise I can't download any additional drivers. Pls give me some feedback.

Solution
The base Win 10 install WILL be fully functional. It will work.
All you might need to do is add hardware specific drivers.
It is helpful to download your LAN and/or WiFi before the install, just in case Win 10 does not pick it up. Save that on a flash drive.

Solution
I've just finished installation process. Everything seems to be up and running and I've installed additional drivers from ASUS website. However, there are a couple of minor glitches.
My wireless mouse (Corsair Ironclaw) isn't connecting to it's USB dongle and I have to use USB cable instead. The BT driver has been installed properly and I'm able to pair and use my BT headphones. So it's not BT driver that prevents mouse from connecting. I've tried reinstalling dongle's driver and plugging it into different USB ports on my laptop. Same thing - no connection. Any idea?
