installing windows 7 using windows pe

i have a system or server that i am trying to install windows 7 on and and i need to use windows pe to do it it's just when i try to change directories say to drive e:\ it will not let me do it it just drops down showing drive x:\ for pe is there a away to install it using this cause i know i have done it before?

Dump install DVD/ISO to USB pendrive using Microsofts own tool.

Have you tried the way that everyone else does it... from the DVD?

Yes i have but when i try to install it it just sits there with a blue screen like it's loading windows for install.

Have you also put the AHCI driver for your motherboard on the pen drive ?
