So I have this other thread about my apps going into white paper and I cleaned the registry’s using ccleaner but now when I download and install some things it uses the msi installer. I want to change this, once I was downloading mouse software - it was an exe- I ran it and it turned into a msi. I am posting this at night

Solution
Not same files, I think I might just be going paranoid, because whenever something bad happens to my pc I have a panic attack
Oh.
If it is not the same file, then the publisher is just using a different package to distribute.
msi vs exe.
MSI = MicroSoft Installer

Same function.

.msi is just a different installer package.
Serves the same purpose as an exe.
