These are just the numbers they showed. You don't know the temperature on the memory controller in 12700 in your example, and in the same test it can be 99°C due to too much pressure of the default ILM and curved IHS. Therefore, almost everyone who overclocked gen 12-14 was forced to install a custom ILM. Bye motherboard warranty.Both techpowerup and tom's hardware have the 12700k around 20c lower than the 7700x. It would be nice if these 18A processes started. But there is too much uncertainty and failure at the moment. They should show 20A Arrow Lake with PowerVia and GAAFET... We still don't know if it will be a monolithic crystal or a chiplet design.
