I'm considering doing a new build and wanted to try intel out, yes i know I'm silly for thinking that. will the 265k handle 1440p 240hz on a game like black ops 6 for example or will it struggle?

If it won't get 240 what would it get .
Depends on the GPU you have.

Read the review i linked. It says the average FPS you can expect, IF paired with RTX 4090.

I know people with 7800x3d that maintain 240fps on 1440p.
2nd best gaming CPU out there. But even when paired with RTX 4090, one can't get, on average, 240FPS on 2K.

Also, it seems that you don't get, that Core Ultra 7 265K is not comparable to Ryzen 7 7800X3D.
It's like you want to have Radeon RX 7700 XT and then bringing out the excuse:"But people with RTX 4080 Super get X FPS".
Just like RX 7700 XT isn't equal to RTX 4080 Super, same is with Core Ultra 7 265K, it is not equal to Ryzen 7 7800X3D.

240Hz is a tail you'll never catch if games aren't esport oriented, easy to run, titles. Sure, hardware will eventually catch-up but then a new game comes out, circle repeats. Should lower Hz expectations, to say 144, be much closer on the average and you'll mentally enjoy pc gaming more.
