With the availability of 6th gen & 7th gen i5/i7, is it still good to buy 4th gen i5/i7 ? Pref 4590/4690/4770.

One shop here in my town is offering a deal for i5-4590 + asus b85-pro for only $200+ (P10000) and another offer is i7-4770 for $190+ (P8000)

So again I ask , is it still worth it to buy 4th gen i5/i7? Btw i got a gtx1060 - 3gb 192bit ady and some other components.

Still perfectly fine to get 4th gen parts, as long as you are getting a good price on it.
Now Z170 and Z270 boards will have more modern ports to them (like multiple m2 ports and multiple usb 3.0 headers).

If you are going to save a decent amount of money on 4th gen then sure go for it, but if you are going to save $20-30 then I would stick with skylake/kabylake.

An i7-4770 for that price is suspiciously low. Are these used parts/systems?

Haswell i5/i7 are still top tier performance. I think it more comes down to the motherboard features. Z97 has most of the recent stuff. Z170 and Z270 offer the latest in I/O.
