Question Intel 905 P

Hello folks, I am looking at upgraging my older system, Asus Rampage 10 edition 5, Intel i7 6850k, 64 Gb Corsair vengence lpx memory. It uses [ at the moment ] a Samsung 850 ssd but would like to upgrade that. I have a chance of a Brand new still in unopened box of a Intel 905 P of 1.5 Tb capacity [ at a very favourable price ] question is would it work ok in my present system? I have used many workstations over the years and all had Intel drives as they were the gold standard for reliability. and HSGT for traditional HDD's just not sure if the 905 P would be a good fit for the system.

905p in which variant?
U2, M.2, PCIe card?

PCIe 3.0 x4 will be max. from the U2 and M.2 connection of the motherboard and share bandwidth with PCIex8,4
using PCIe ports can disable M.2 and U.2 in certain configurations
any addon cards currently installed ?

905P should be very reliable and work in your system without problems

Thanks for the info, The interface is PCIe card. there are no add in cards installed in the system. Forgot to mention the GPU is a Nvidia gtx 1080ti Also in case it is of some relevence I am not a gamer.
