I need a 150$ super max price for a intel cpu. I will not overclock it in any condition becouse I need it too last 7 years without breaking. If you have a cpu in mind that can't overclock, please tell me what it is becouse I will NOT OVERCLOCK in any condition.

Do you already have a motherboard you will be using this for? You can't just buy any CPU for <$150 and throw it in there. If you haven't purchased a motherboard yet, I would recommend an i3-6100 ($130) or an i3-4160 ($125). You could possibly find a used i5 in that price range on ebay or amazon, but keep in mind you likely won't have any kind of warranty past the return period if you buy used.

7 years is a long time to run the same processor. I would bet you'll be upgrading before then, but even still get the best processor you can afford because in 7 years, it will be soooo slow compared to what will be out by then.

I wouldnt bother with an AMD right now. They are already so far behind. 7 years from now, you will have wanted to throw it out the window. Heck, even 2 years from now, you want to light it on fire.

I don't know your situation, so I am just curious, but why are you planning on keeping the same CPU for 7+ years? I don't know many people that know the future and know they can't afford to upgrade that far ahead in time. Even if you saved just $5 per month over the next 3 years, you will have $180 to spend on a CPU upgrade. Even more so if you save more.

Okaj. Maby I will do it, but why is the 6300 so bad? I saw the performance it is very good, doesn't heat too much doesn't use too much power, so why?

Core for core, they aren't even close. They look very similar if youre just looking at the clock speeds overall, but in real world use, Intel beats them every time. Don't get me wrong, AMD is good for budget builds that have a short lifespan (say 3 years or less) but I would not recommend them for reliability and speed over the long term.

Are you saying it will last this short from expirience or did you read it? Do you thing the 6300 life span will be longer if I dont overclock it NEVER EVER?

I'm saying I have heard (and read about) more instances of AMD CPU's dying earlier because they aren't built with the level of quality that newer Intel processors are. Your mileage may vary. It's totally possible to buy an AMD and have it last for 7 years, but I wouldn't bet on it--even if you underclock it. Even if it DID last that long, it's much more likely that one of the other components in your computer will fail long before then, requiring an upgrade anyway.

The i5 (Haswell) processor is fantastic. You should get great performance and life out of it.

For longevity, I would choose a GTX 960. They run cooler on less wattage than AMD cards, so they have the potential to last longer.

Im referring to Nvidia versus AMD in general. There are many models across both brands.
