Hello friends! Need your help.

I have an old laptop Acer TravelMate 2354LC. I want to upgrade its' CPU (yes, i know that it is an old model, but i need it).

Now there is: Intel Celeron M 350 (1,3 GHz, 400 MHz FSB, 1 MB L2 cache). I tried to choose the most among appliable variants from site "cpu-upgrade".

So i have bought Pentium M765 (2,1 GHz, 400 MHz FSB, 2 MB). But with this CPU my Laptop dosn't loads...

Please, tell if i had bought the wrong model and which one is the best for upgrading my old laptop. Thank you!

The thing is even is the processor fits you laptop, there is a chance the motherboard wont support it at all. I would recommend you to put on the celeron, go to the laptop brand site or the motherboard manufactures site and download the bios update. Then try installing the new processor and check if its boots up.
