Hello,
I recently just got a Hp Pavilioni Elite m9370a computer
It has:
2048MB DDR2 ram
Intel core 2 quad processer Q6600
500GB 3G harddrive
NVIDIA GeForce 9300GE
Blue-ray Disc Hd/DVD reader
with lightscribe technology

I picked it up not knowing it was ment for dvd renderiing etc NOT for gaming.
So i just wanted to ask what i would need for gaming use, i heard that my processor is quit good but gpu is crap?

Hello sgtsn1per;
That's about right. Good CPU and non-gaming GPU.
Here is some information about your Hp Pavilion Elite m9370a

The item of most interest to you and your goal of getting some gaming in with this computer is the 300watt power supply.
That will limit the video card you can use in your new system. Unless you want to consider upgrading the power supply as well.
SAPPHIRE Radeon HD 4670 $70 and $10 rebate is an example of a video card that would run in your system and it's 300w PSU without a problem.

Have you set a budget? What type of gaming do you want to do? What resolution monitor will you be using?

The load on the cpu is unchanged no matter what resolution you're running.

Higher resolution means more strain on the graphics card, and hence a higher power draw, but cpu load will remain the same unless you overclock the cpu or pull out the videocard.
