I think it will somewhat depend depend on the game.
The i3 is faster single threaded.
the Ryzen is faster multi-threaded.

That's not the i3 10100f. That's a 10100. They're both completely different processors.

i3-10100f is the same processor as the i3-10100
but without the integrated graphics.
For gaming, you always want a discrete graphics card.

For gaming, budget for the graphics card first.
Perhaps twice what you pay for the processor.
