Hi All,

Won't be over-clocking, but will be surfing the net, emails, Microsoft, various software and light gaming?

May do some High End gaming if possible with the Gigabyte GeForce GT640 2GB PCIe?

All feedback on this CPU in conjunction with this GPU would be most welcome!

Solution

In $250 best gpu is GTX 760, it has the best price to performance in ur price range. Make sure u have a good 500watt power supply.

Im going to go for the Intel Core i5-3750 instead, I would only play in high resolutions... can you recommend a decent GPU?

What is ur resolution and budget?

Huge price difference between i3 3220 and 3570. List down your needs. I don’t think you need an i5. You won’t even feel the difference until you use an i5 for what it is built to perform.

Basically, i want a future proof computer, At the moment Ill be surfing the net, various software and microsoft but in a few months i think ill start gaming (with HD graphics) and abit of Overclocking (want a computer that will boot fully in a few seconds... thats why ill be using an SSD for all my software/OS etc)

1920 x 1080... and for a GPU £100-175(GBP) max!
or $150-265 USD
By the way, my mistake, ill be using the i5 3570K
