What you aim for? Better graphics, higher refresh rates... Is your monitor good enough to consider a gpu upgrade?

At the moment I'm using a 4K TV! I am going to buy a monitor next month and was going to buy the Hannspree HG324QJB which is a 2K monitor with 144hz refresh rate. So I don't know whether to upgrade the card as well.

then i would upgrade the gpu for the newer rtx3070.
I don't expect much improvement in gaming from an i7 over that 9600k
But first of all, try that xt5700 out. It might be enough for you

the rx5700 might not be able to max out 1440p @144hz
But try that first before buying anything else

I have been playing games on Ultra settings with no problems that I can see........And that is just on a 4k TV! The only problem I have is the fans on the GPU are VERY loud under load.
